Feedback is so proud to be a part of the all-new presentation event: “Cancer, In Other Words” debuting in Chicago in May!
Easily one of the most important of the speeches Dean has been a part of in his healthcare career, he and the team will be exploring the massive disconnect between how we message oncology versus how cancer patients actually speak, think, live, and breathe their life in treatment. I get to play the important role of illuminating what we have found in research into patient behavior on condition specific message boards and how it contrasts with the general public’s discussion of cancer.
One of his favorite lines from one of his fantastic co-presenters: “It’s not about bringing ‘patients’ into your brand’s world. It’s about your brand playing a meaningful role in someone’s life.”
Update: The talk went well and there was thoughtful discussion among the 75+ that attended!

“Cancer, In Other Words”
It’s time for marketers to reconsider the aggressive metaphors around one of the fastest growing chronic diseases. Research has shown how patients view these metaphors,
as well as their communication preferences. Hear how altering the messaging changes the response! Let’s change the conversation!
